I did it!! I made myself a journal cover...

One of the things I wanted to do today on New Year's was make a journal cover for ideas and recording information for my quilting. I got it finished. I am really excited. True to form, I made it completely from my scraps.

I wish I could shell things out like that in a jiffy. You never cease to amaze me, Mary.

We are on the same wave length. I just posted about my Quilt Journal. My books aren't as cute as yours though!

What an adorable journal cover. Thanks for the parable of the Scraps. We have a quilter in our ward that I'm going to pass this on to, along with a little bag of scraps. THANKS!

Hi Mary- In response to your comment on thread--I used to think I should only use cotton thread on cotton quilt fabric. Another myth! Superior Threads uses Polyester, and theirs is just as high of quality. But after listening to their presentation I would be very careful about buying the kind of thread we can get at JoAnn's, etc. When we put so much time and effort into a project, and use quality fabric, it's just as important to use quality thread to match.

That is absolutely adorable. I'll bet it is so fun and rewarding to open it up and know that it is your creation with information for more creations inside. Good job!!
