Barrett Retreat Coming Up on Friday...

So, I am getting most excited to host the 5th Annual Barrett Quilt Retreat on Friday, June 27, 2008. My aunties, cousins, sisters, nieces, friends and my mom will be there. What great fun to look forward to. We are going to sew nine patch table runners, eat good food and collect great prizes to take home. We may even go to the shop hop on the Wasatch Front. The company will be great, the food is guaranteed to be great and it should be extraordinarily fun!! Look for postings next week of the retreat.

Eagle Quilt for Stanton...

We were very excited when Stanton finally got his Eagle Scout. I beat him done with the quilt by the way. This was a really fun project and Jennifer Pate quilted feathers in the wings of the eagle. Great quilting job!!

Kansas Troubles

This is my current project that I am working on. It is a scrap buster and I have boxes and boxes of scraps from left over projects. I have always loved the pattern, Kansas Troubles and since Curtis has just picked up geneaology and has been learning about all the Meats in the Midwest, we have discovered that many, many cousins reside in Kansas. This will be a tribute to all the Kansas cousins.

This quilt was for my nephew Scott Barrett when he got married...

This quilt is a log cabin and I learned how to do this last year. You just use up all your scraps and it makes a beautiful quilt.

Here are some pictures of quilts that I have given to very special people...

This quilt was given to our bishop's family in the 14th ward.

Take a look at the fun things that will be at the Annual Barrett Quilt Retreat...

This is my newest quilt just finished in ZaZa fabrics from Moda.

This quilt was sooooo fun to make. I made it from the left over fabric from another quilt. Jennifer Pate did such wonderful quilting on it. Hope you enjoy my retro quilt.
