This is the one Alissa was working on. It is so delicate and pretty...

These were the store samples...

Another woman was making this one for a Valentine flare...love it and want to make a red one after seeing this...If you haven't tried beading, give it a try...

Diaper Clutch...

I just finished a neutral diapee wipee clutch...It was requested to make one that could go for boy or girl....I used the fabric line Zoo Babies for it...

It has a jumbo snap to hold it closed. On one side you put the changing mat and the other side is for a diaper and the wipes...

This is the little changing mat...So what do you think??? Pattern by All My Bags and Quilts Too!

Be Attitudes...

I have been on a get-r-done kick the last month. I had the Nancy Halverson book to make this quilt and a box full of her fat quarters sitting on the shelf for 2 years--just busy with too many projects....2 weeks ago, I got out the box and started sewing and cutting and sewing...I really liked the quilt because of the messages contained...here are 6 of the 12 blocks. The quilt is ready for quilting...so...Be Joyful...

Be Grateful...

Be Honest...

Be Prayerful...

Be Respectful...

Be Patient...I'm excited to have the quilt to this point. I changed up the borders and did a piano key border with left over fabric to use it up. I have to tell you that Nancy Halverson patterns have a lot of applique and they are extremely labor intensive, but I love the end result!!

Finished putting the quilt together this morning. Quick sew!! We took the picture at the quilt store if you are wondering what the background is.
I have to say I really did enjoy sewing this. The fabrics are gorgeous and it was easy and fast!!

Come Fly with Me....

Free Spirit fabric--This is such a yummy selection with beautiful colors. This is another quilt I am sewing for the store. The pattern is "Come Fly with Me". It reminds me of that movie, "Catch Me If You Can" I know that sounds really random.

This is the pattern. The quilt is just strips sewn together with flying geese. It is going to be darling with this fabric. The background for the geese is an ivory bella solid. The quilt is approximately 55 x 75 without borders, but I think I'm going to add borders to mine so I can use it for a twin bed...I have enough quilts that are throws, I don't need one more.

Do any of you have this handy dandy little tool for your rulers? My Aunt Patricia gave this to me last summer at our little quilt retreat. Can I just say how much I LOVE it? It really helps hold your ruler in please and makes cutting out much easier. Do any of you have an 8 1/2" x 24" ruler? I consider this my favorite must have. It is wide enough for borders and I love that extra half inch. I use it all the time.

Smitten...

Tis the season of LOVE. I really love Valentines Day and all the fun things to go along with it!!!

The store asked me to sew up a quilt for display...I got to make up the pattern, Smitten, by Crazy Old Ladies. It was so fun to sew and it worked up really quick.

Girl time...

Today, my friends, Alissa, Tani, Lisa and myself got together to have a little girl time and do something to avoid the January blahs....We took these wood beads and fabric, glue stick and an awl and used this tutorial to make necklaces....http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/03/neptune-necklace.html

These are the beads that I covered in fabric ...

We then all went to Beadles, a local beading store and got help to string our necklaces....This is Alissa's

This one is Tani's ...

And this one is mine. Lisa went home before we were finished so I don't have a picture of hers. Fun project and a great time with friends...
