Spooling Around....

A little over a year ago, I  got this book by Whimsicals...I love her designs....

I especially love sewing themed quilt blocks and so this quilt was a winner with this Spooling Around quilt...

Some finished spool blocks...the kit came with Kim Diehl fabrics...yum yum...

Chloe Hat...

I just finished this hat and I was so thrilled with how it turned out. It is for a birthday gift--hope she likes it. My daughter is modeling it. Went to the fabric store today after work to pick up a couple batik fat quarters and sat down and sewed this up...

The flower embellishment was made from a tutorial over at terelauritsen.blogspot.com .

The hat pattern came from this fabulous book, Tangled up in Thread by Whimsicals (Terri Degenkolb). I just love this book. It has several projects in it that I cannot wait to make...

The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. She shows a wool version and a cotton version as well...So, make you a Chloe hat for those bad hair days that always seem to happen at the worst possible moment...
