I found the cutest tutorial from the whip-up newsletter on these darling fabric carrots....http://gratzindustries.blogspot.com/2010/03/tutorial-make-carrot-full-o-candy-for.html, click where it says easy peasy tutorial. They were super simple to make, taking only minutes from start to finish, and it just makes you giggle they are so fun and cute. Fill with your favorite Easter treat and use as gifts or reuse them from year to year....Happy Carrots....

Odds and Ends...
Last year about this time, retro-mama.blogspot.com did a tutorial on fabric Easter eggs. I located the blog and did these up really fast last night. Fun project--not too hard and a little bit festive to boot! Give it a try with your odds and ends.

Spring at the Gate...by Jan Patek
I just finished this little wall hanging for the store. It is by Jan Patek..Spring at the Gate. Since I have not mastered the needle turned applique, this one is fused. Fun project and I think it turned out cuter than the pattern picture. I started to big stitch this, but did not have it in a hoop and all the stitches were pulling. I need to perfect that. It is something I'm going to be working on.

Alphabet Quilt Retreat...
Here is the official invitation to the retreat that was held in Bear Lake (located by the Utah/Idaho border) at our friend's cabin...5 star accommodations...
Check out these delectable ABC cookies...they were as good as they look...
Everyone received a little bag with their name on it....contents included an alphabet label which was signed by all who participated, treats, an alphabet fat quarter and an alphabet scissor phab or fob...
One of the delicious meals prepared by the hostess with the mostest...
The view of Bear Lake from the cabin--absolutely gorgeous and magnificent...
The alphabet quilt put together and ready for quilting...What a fun time we had--9 ladies participated and exchanged blocks. They are all so very darling and I'm proud to have this quilt...

Yahoo--Cobblestones and Cartwheels is now all sewn...
This quilt was so much fun to sew. It was labor intensive--a true act of love to sew this. The pattern is by Kim Diehl, which I have to say, I love, love, love what she designs. I pulled scraps from a former Kim Diehl quilt and added new fabric and made it longer (the original pattern is 72 1/2" square and this is 72 1/2" x 82 1/2". Overall, I have to say I adore it and can't wait until it is through hanging in the store!!

Happy March, Block Jack and Charm Square Baby Quilt...
March's mini quilt. Keeping with the St. Patrick's theme. As you can well see by now, I love holidays--I'm nuts about them...
Quilt guild is tonight and the block jack this month is 3-D Windmill. Because I won the jackpot a couple of months ago, I have to participate in the block jack for 3 months...these blocks are 6" finished. They sewed together really fast this morning...
Charm pack baby quit. The pattern is called "Charlotte" and it is designed by Me and My Sister Designs. I added the last border to size the quilt up a little bit. The charm pack is a Mary Englebreit collection that was out in 2007. I really had fun putting this together. This is the first time I have sewn "Bow Tie" blocks...
