This is my second embroidery of this pattern...just as delightful as the first! Substituted applique instead of doing a satin stitch on the letters, make it do. Best decision ever!!

Scrappy Crossroads and Miss Mary Kathleen...
Meet my new little sewing machine...She was built in Scotland in my birth year. I have given this Scottish Lassie the proper name of Mary Kathleen. She is a 3/4 machine, the size of a featherweight but with twice the motor power...
Lori Holt had this tutorial on her blog and since I had pink background material and a plethora of
2 1/2" squares, I set out and sewed this up...what a fun sew!!! That is my handsome husband whose shadow you see...

Near Finish....
Makes me think of near death...hahaha...sometimes we feel like we are near death when finishing up UFO's, but this UFO was really fun to work on. About 1 year ago, I had it sewn up, but I needed to add embroidery to the ants, make ruffles for the watermelon and then quilt it...done and done....just need to add binding...
The pattern is by Kimberbell Designs....this is one of her Cuties patterns. You can find the pattern here: http://www.kimberbelldesigns.com/online-shop.htm

Tone It Down...
Tone It Down...This quilt was featured in American Patchwork and Quilting....it uses low volume fabrics and I really fell in love with it...
This image was taken from Jolly Jabber, Fat Quarter Shop. For the sashing in this quilt, a turquoise color was used through out where as in the above photo, the sashing is done with low volume....
My low volume blocks so far...I have 5 and need another 20 to make this a nice queen size....
Another shot of my quilt block...Today I made a decision to use a colored sashing like the quilt from Fat Quarter Shop, Jolly Jabber...I am thinking of maybe doing a solid there...any suggestions as to what color to use???

Hand Painted and pretty...
If you like these paintings, you can have your own...Artist Katy Hughes is going to graduate school in Colorado and is taking orders so she can help pay for expenses associated with her schooling. These darling paintings are 5 x 7 but she can do other sizes as well. She is charging $20.00 for one or $35 for two. She can do sewing machines, rotary cutters, seam rippers, whatever you heart desires...the picture on the left is yarn and knitting needles. I just loved them and for hand painted art...you can't beat the price. If you are interested, email me at meatsmj@aol.com and I will give you her information.
