Old is New Again...

Yesterday, Curtis and I had a lunch date. After having some Chinese food, Curtis took me to an antique store. I scored on some fun antique linens. Check out this beautiful cross-stitched table cloth as well as two pillowcases and a fun table runner featuring strawberries.

A close up of the embroidery. I thought it was a fun and refreshing embroidery technique that I would like to try out. I may repurpose this runner into something fun...haven't decided yet.

Another shot of the linens.
I just adore beautiful things and while they still have some life in them, I'll use and enjoy them.

Wow. What a find. The creative stitching inside the strawberries really make them!

How very fortunate you were to come across those lovely linens! I, too, adore the older items and have several antique pieces that were handed down in the family. If you do repurpose, please be sure to post pics!

OH...these are gorgeous! I love looking at the old linens and hand stitched items at the antique store. I can't help but wonder whose table they sat at, or the woman that wiped her hands on the old flour sack towel.

Have a great day.

The items you have pictures of are absolutely gorgeous. I love the cross stitched tablecloth. The blues are just perfect. I have several older linen pieces and keep my eye out for more all the time. Since I love yard sales, thrift stores, fabric stores it is a great day out for me when I can go shopping or even just looking. Thank you for sharing.
