Here are my Christmas pillows I have made this year...my husband teases me and says that the most wonderful time of the year is the first day of school...he does have a point...
Believe...one of my most favorite words for the Christmas season...often I tell my children...If you don't believe, you don't receive....
What is Christmas time without elves...much less their shoes??  All these pillows were made by patterns by Kimberbell Designs...here is her link http://www.kimberbelldesigns.com/ Kim is one of the most creative people I know and she has great patterns so if you want to make one for yourself...give it a try!!

I made some Thanksgiving pillows...they were so fun to make and really put me in the mood for this important holiday...often overlooked by Christmas...
Gratitude is of utmost importance...it feeds the soul and gives inner peace when we can be grateful for what we have.  It instills acceptance of our circumstances and opens our minds to new possibilities for improvement.  Happy is the person who has a grateful heart....
I am most grateful for the safe arrival of our newest little grandson.  This is baby Oliver, weighing in at 3 lbs. 13 oz. nine weeks early.  He is just perfect, just needs to grow.  He got his first helicopter ride as he was life lighted to a larger hospital with a great NICU.  He did not require oxygen and at just one week, they took out all the IV's.  He is doing awesome.

Bucket List...

This has been on my bucket list for some time now...to knit socks.  Since winter is on it's way...we actually have some snow...I would like to wear some nice woolies on my feet.  I think I am getting down the 4 needle thing.  I'll keep you all updated on my progress...

Women's Conference Outing at Pine Needles...

This is my family of sisters, my mom and nieces...every year we get together at conference time and  go to Gardner Village to have lunch, shop and then finally make our way to the Women's Conference which is always held on the last Saturday in September...
This witch and her black cats is just adorable and would be so cute in my yard...must find someone who can cut this out of wood...
Cooper and Grandpa...for church today, I put him in the little duck vest that I knit for my oldest son over 20 years ago...he looked adorable, however he did not want his picture taken and was unhappy...isn't he cute???

Patchwork Friends Quilt Guild...

In September, we start up again with our quilt guild, Patchwork Friends.  This year we started off with a bang...enjoy the show and share...

Talk about busy women...they acccomplished much this summer and the show and share was really fun because of it...
This quilt was an exchange block a couple of years ago...I finished it up for a dear friend for her niece's wedding that took place like forever ago and now she has her first baby...better late than never right?  I so copied Jean and her setting but did an original border treatment.  The niece loves purple, so I chose shades of purple and went for it...This quilt was a fun challenge to finish up and now I'm off to more sewing and creating....
