Yesterday, I was the most lucky recipient of this wonderful cookbook by Julia Child. My very best friend in the whole wide world sent this book, (which I have secretly wanted since I saw the movie Julie and Julia). I can't tell you how very excited I am about this. Thank you so very much Shari--you brightened up my day--let me explain... These two beautiful girls (Shari's wonderful daughters) brought me this book yesterday. The older daughter is up visiting from San Antonio and the younger daughter is here attending Utah State University. The timing was exquisite..this is what has been going on in my life...
I have been getting the royal snub from this sweet adorable puppy and I'm afraid to say that I now suffer from post partum--I didn't actually give birth, but I indeed have a baby. She is upset that I have a lot of sewing to push through and very little time and I am not spending that time with her. Therefore--the royal snub. My heart is so sad. Those that know me, know that I am not an animal person, so getting this therapy dog for the dear husband was a giant leap for me. Tune in next week to see if my sewing therapy will mend it for me and Lucy....as the days in our lives continue....

Lucy will get over the snub because she has Curtis! Just toss her a doggy bone now and then...you'll have a friend for life.
And Shari's daughter's are so cute. What fun for them to bring you that book. Now I expect you to make every recipe in it.......
Just rub a little "au-du-kibbles" on your body and she will be your best friend. No one else might want to be around you though!
The book looks like one I need to find myself.
What a fun surprise Mary! I have yet to see the movie but I've heard great things about it. I'm sure you'll feel better about being snubbed by Lucy when you feel the glorious satisfaction of completing your fabulous projects! And getting all our drooling compliments won't hurt either. ;) She's just so darn cute. I can definitely understand why you're feeling postpardum.
I know how you feel. Having an animal living so close to you, you get to see their almost humanistic tendancies. Our Hank, after 7 years, doesn't understand that he's not a boy. Give her little spurts of love. She is so cute.
It is rather interesting for me to read the post. Thanks the author for it. I like such topics and everything that is connected to this matter. I definitely want to read more soon.
