Eency Weency Spider....

Sometime ago (like 1-2 years ago)...I bought a kit for this spiderweb table topper.  It came with a free pattern and it has been kicking around the sewing area for too long...I got it out, cut my 3" strips and sewed away...Super easy to make...did not take very long...
I found this cute Halloween print (love the Cyclops in it) and it can be reversible.  I loaded the walking foot on my machine and did a stitch in the ditch and then bound it...Fun project!!!

Block Jack and Leader Enders....

Quilt Guild started back up in September and we are doing Block Jack this year...
Each month we have an assigned block with assigned colors...the blocks are 9 1/2" unfinished...
The month of September, the block was the Maple Leaf to be done in fall colors...I did not win...maybe sometime this year!!!
I have been trying to do Leaders and Enders while I am working on my other projects...I have decided to do Rick Rack Nines from Bonnie Hunter's Leaders and Enders book.  It calls for 3 1/2 yards background and I have 4 yards of navy...I think navy it is for the background.  I had to lay out a few blocks to test it out...
The more I work with Bonnie Hunter's Leaders and Enders, the more I love it!!!  I am 1/3 of the way done with my blocks for this one!!!

The Barn Quilt....

My attempts to photograph my barn quilt were impeded by some blustery wind this morning....
The Barn Along, hosted by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet, was so very fun to do...I looked forward every other week to make my new block or at least see it and get excited to make it...
She also has designed Barn/Silo blocks which I want to make as well...This fun little quilt will fit a twin bed when finished.  I am going to put a white border then finish with a fun red binding...The barns remind me of the Mid-West with all of their beautiful red barns..how I miss the Mid-West!!!

Summer Sewing...

I have been absent from blogging for a spell due to not having a working computer to upload pictures....well, I'm back with some updates...Oliver and Cooper, the grandchildren in matching outfits for church...they are growing up so fast!!!
I sewed up this Asterik quilt top for Suppose.  The blocks were all paper pieced.  It was quite an undertaking as it was labor intensive...but I did enjoy the journey..
I sewed this Jacki quilt top for Kimberbell...my friend Kim.  It was really fun to put together.  It uses a jelly roll...
Last night, we had Girlfriend's Night Out at My Girlfriend's Quilt Shoppe...Kris did a demo on how to sew  this quick and easy card holder...Had  to come home and make one...
Inside of the card holder...Wouldn't this make a great gift???

Weekend at Girlfriends....

Last Friday and Saturday were spent at My Girlfriends Quilt Shoppe in the Attic sewing with friends...I made these little matching bowling shirts for the grand babies...They wore them to church on Sunday...the pattern needs some adjustments and I need to add some width and length to the shirts as they were not as loose fitting and long as I would have liked...so we will try again...
My postage stamp stars...This has been a WIP for a couple of years.  This quilt top is especially scrappy and I added the pink strips to break up the scrappiness and add some interest.  I love how it added so much.  Just need to add a narrow border to the top and bottom and large borders to the sides to make it approximately 90" square...
Grandson Cooper got puzzles for his birthday...the nice ones out of wood.  I made velcro bags for the 9" puzzle boards and pieces and drawstring bags for pieces to other puzzles.  It was a productive weekend...I need this about 2 x a week and then I might see more finishes...

More Barn Blocks

Here are a couple more barn blocks...
There are going to be 12 blocks total...I love how they are coming together!!!
A couple of weeks ago, my mom and I went to St. George for a baby blessing.  We stayed at my brother's home and I got to sleep under a quilt that my grandmother and great grandmother pieced and hand quilted out of feed sacks and old clothing...
I love the border and really love this whole quilt.  It is quite worn as it was used for my nieces and nephews growing up, but still radiates the original beauty...

Barn Raising...

Did a little bit of barn raising over my weekend...
I love Lori's pattern...it went together so easily...
Lori posts the next barn on next Wednesday...
If you haven't joined in yet...you may want to because they are so cute...
I just need to add borders to make this a 20" block...swoon, I am in love...
